The Role

We are looking for a diligent and dynamic self-starter to join our Business Operations Team to provide maternity cover for our Executive Assistant for Camden Learning. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, all members of the Business Operations Team, Schools, Camden Support Services (CSS) and all stakeholders, providing support as required for Camden Learning’s business and marketing operations. It is a fast paced and exciting environment that would suit someone who enjoys variety, is excellent at multi-tasking and is comfortable balancing competing demands and conflicting priorities. The core role includes a wide range of business support, business administration, project management and commissioning activity, together with the chance to work with colleagues from schools and the Council. These vital activities are set out in the job description.

In addition, the appointee will be expected to undertake the following:

  • Providing high-level PA support to the Managing Director, including dairy management, research, support with emails, developing power points and support at meetings
  • Conference organisation – with responsibility for the smooth running of our successful conference programme for Heads, Deputy Heads and Governors.
  • Coordinating and supporting our innovative Learning Hubs which bring together heads and teachers from across the borough to drive improvement
  • Supporting the Pan London Education Association which is bringing boroughs together to improve outcomes for learners across the Capital
  • Communications and marketing work, managing social media, liaising with colleagues, and supporting the development of promotional materials and the website
  • This role sits right at the heart of Camden Learning and will give the right person a chance to undertake some fascinating work and be part of a great team. 

    To be considered for this vacancy it is essential that the post holder is educated to degree level and has previous demonstrable experience in a similar post such as schools business support or learning environment setting who is adept at budget management and manipulating financial data for reporting purposes. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and possess the ability to cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders at all levels of seniority. You will have excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of IT systems for web content and social media management. The ideal candidate will utilise a significant degree of creative thinking, particularly around the drafting and presentation of brochures, web content course descriptions, marketing materials and similar publications.
