We have an exciting opportunity available for a communications officer to be part of our North London Waste Authority (NLWA) communications team.  In this role you will be responsible for providing communications and administrative support to enable the successful delivery of activities set out in the North London Waste Authority communications strategy.

You will be responsible for all aspects of communications – from planning and executing multi-channel campaigns, social media activity, internal communications, proactive PR, and publications production.

The right individual will have a communications/marketing qualification OR experience in delivering social, digital or other communications activities. You will have experience of providing administrative or communications support in a busy environment. You will have good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills as you will often have to manage a busy and varied workload.

You will have knowledge of MS Office and knowledge of social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.  The individual will also have an innovative and creative approach to problem solving. 

Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to build relationships with different people is a MUST. 

Degree level qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Experience of working on projects to deliver measurable outcomes and of writing for different target audiences is also desirable.
