About us
There is no doubt that 2020 has been a challenging year for Camden and London, as those who live, work and study here continue to experience the impacts of Covid-19. As we move forward in our collective response to the pandemic, it’s crucial we all stay working together to help and support our communities to keep safe. We are now looking for a Communications Manager to join our team to help us continue to deliver effective communications through the Keep London Safe campaign – a pan-London campaign to help all Londoners understand public health advice at a hyperlocal, borough and London level.
The role
Keep London Safe is a pan-London campaign that launched in July 2020, with the aim of raising awareness of coronavirus testing, supporting all of our communities to understand and follow public health advice, to prevent the spread of coronavirus and save lives. A focus of the campaign has been to ensure our messages reach deep into all of London’s diverse and hard-to-reach communities.
The impactful campaign has been adopted by the majority of London boroughs and has significantly increased awareness and understanding of coronavirus testing. We are now planning the next phase and need an experienced Communications Manager to develop and deliver this.
About you
In this role you will need to have experience creating and delivering multi-channel, evidence-based campaigns and of using data to target audiences and evaluate campaign impact. You will also have influencing and negotiating skills to maximise partner engagement across all stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Keep London Safe campaign steering group, and with London Councils’ Covid-19 Communications Lead and Camden Council’s Head of Strategic Communications. The role will be employed by Camden Council.
Please refer to the job profile supplementary information for full details of the role.
