The South London Partnership (SLP) is a voluntary cross-party five borough sub-regional partnership of Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton. It has a small dynamic core team working closely with politicians, chief executives, senior managers and subject specialists in each of the five boroughs, as well as London and local stakeholders and partners.  The SLP team focuses on areas where collaboration leads to increased influence, increased powers and funding and better delivery of the services our residents need.  Together they have forged an ambitious programme of work that is securing greater sub-regional collaboration and traction on areas including health, economy, skills and transport.  SLP is hosted by Richmond Council.

About the Role

The SLP team are looking for a proactive and curious intelligence analyst to support their wide-ranging work covering economic development, health and care, skills and employment, environmental sustainability by providing high quality data analysis, interpretation and presentation.  The role will involve providing high quality data-based intelligence and advice in accessible formats to support decision making on a wide range of policies and programmes that aim to improve the lives of the residents and communities of South West London.  It will require close working with colleagues in the SLP team and in the five SLP boroughs, the NHS and other partners. 

About you

We are looking for a proactive and curious analyst who is able to seek out data, analyse and present insightful analysis on a wide range of topics and issues relevant to SLP business ensuring that good quality analytical information is used effectively in decision making.

You will have significant experience of providing good quality insightful data analysis and intelligence to further business priorities and objectives with advanced understanding of a range of analytical methods and techniques.   You will be able to use a range of software applications that support data management, analysis and visualisation, and have a high standard of ICT and mathematical literacy.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to present complex analytical information effectively using appropriate methods to a range of stakeholders including councillors, senior officers using audience appropriate methods.

You will be a creative thinker focused on how best to turn data into intelligence and present data in innovative and effective ways to make it most impactful.   You will have good relationship building skills able to work with analytical and non-analytical colleagues from across different organisations.
