The Opportunity

The Circular Economy Team are responsible for the Love Essex brand and communication channels and support development of waste reduction strategies and campaigns.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners to support communications on the circular economy, waste reduction and recycling to residents, colleagues and other organisations.
  • Respond to routine customer enquiries, by phone, email or face-to-face, in a timely manner, to deliver high quality customer service.
  • Undertake administrative duties, including organising meetings and events and maintaining records such as performance logs, issue logs and enquiry records.
  • Data collection, inputting, processing and presentation to agreed standards
  • Carry out research, summarise information and present findings to inform activities
  • Support creation of communications content in line with corporate policy and brand guidelines
  • Administrative assistance with different project areas, including monitoring bookings, responding to enquiries and onboarding volunteers
  • Support delivery of engagement events with residents, face to face and online.
  • Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Educated to RFQ Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent by experience
  • Ability to deliver effective, administrative duties; well organised, reliable and able to meet deadlines, whilst appropriately handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as well as an ability to build and establish relationships. A good phone manner is needed along with a friendly approach.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, a result orientated approach with an aptitude for figures and an interest in Finance.
  • Knowledge of working with IT systems including Microsoft Office helpful, but not essential. A willingness to learn new systems is important.
  • Commitment to learning to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in a working environment is helpful but not essential. A positive, proactive can-do attitude is a must.
