Cafcass is an organisation like no other. As a national agency and the largest employer of social workers in the UK,
our remit is significant and, each year, we representthe interests of over 150,000 children who are involved in family court proceedings. Our work is challenging, often difficult and sometimes heartbreaking, but it is also immensely important.

As an organisation we have made great progress, we have reshaped and refocusedwhat we do to ensure that we have the skills, capacity and resources to manage the rise in care applications at a time when financial pressures are evident.
 We are proud that our success has been recently recognised in our latest OFSTED inspection report, which has judged our organisation as good with outstanding features.

We know there is still a lot we can do to continue our improvement and we are not complacent. 
We are now looking for very special individuals to join our Non-Executive Board, who will help us build on our strong performance – people who will share our values and passion for putting children first.
To be successful in these roles you will need a track record of achievement in managing and embedding change, have the experience and skills to drive performance, challenge our senior management team and help us deliver exceptional outcomes for children in a fast-moving and changing environment.
