This role offers the opportunity to be the Council’s expert legal adviser and to play a key corporate role as a member of the Council’s Management Team. Your technical expertise will be complemented by the ambition and creativity necessary to excel in the role, where the emphasis is on getting things done. As a qualified solicitor with significant post qualification experience, you will lead the Council’s Legal and Democratic Service and be the Council’s Monitoring Officer.

Your clear understanding of the workings of local government and your political sensitivity will enable you to relate confidently to our elected members. And your interpersonal skills will enable you to build emotionally intelligent relationships both internally and externally.
