The council is looking for a exceptional individual who has the capability and vision to help shape and support the ambitious set of priorities for Liverpool.
To be our Director of Children and Young People's Services, you will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff in a challenging climate and a significant understanding of current and emerging local government issues together with the legislative and policy framework around children's services.
You will have substantial senior management experience in children's services in a comparable organisation, with an extensive track record in service excellence, innovation, continuous improvement and performance delivery.
You will also have a proven track record of delivering high quality children's services in a multi-agency context.
With exemplary communication and negotiation skills, you will have a demonstrable record of achieving success, influencing outcomes and delivering corporate priorities, with a focus on the Children and Families Trust and the Liverpool Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB).
