We have a part-time (weekends) opportunities for SIA licensed Public Sector CCTV operators within our CCTV control room.

Based in Boston our control room has some of the best technology available to monitor and record information from cameras. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year monitoring cameras across the East Lincolnshire area. Our cameras record incidents – everything from helping protect the vulnerable through to assisting police with enquiries – and demand someone with a quick eye to notice anything out of the ordinary.

Our Community Safety department is responsible for the co-ordination and investigation of all aspects of anti-social behaviour as well as any other crime/community safety related issues that the Council and our community faces.

As a CCTV operator your main responsibilities will include operating CCTV cameras, monitoring screens, liaising with relevant external organisations and recording incidents as appropriate. This role also includes communicating with members of the public and responding accordingly to the Council’s Out of Hours service. This position can be both challenging and rewarding.

In addition to holding a current SIA Public Sector CCTV license you should possess good verbal and written communication skills and basic IT skills would be desirable. Previous experience would be an advantage and you must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. A flexible approach to work is required as hours of work are arranged on a rotating five (5) weekend shift basis system.

These posts are subject to Non-Police Personnel Vetting and other vetting checks due to the nature of this work.

In return for your commitment and enthusiasm we can offer a varied and interesting workload and a genuine commitment to your career development.

We have an attractive benefits package including:

  • Family friendly benefits
  • Childcare voucher scheme
  • Career average pension scheme
  • 29-31 days annual leave (pro rata)
