Lincs Building Consultancy provides the Building Control services on behalf of East Lindsey District Council covering a diverse geographical area providing both domestic and commercial services.

We are excited to be recruiting for two new Consultant Surveyors to join our busy and dedicated team. You will be required to carry out all Building Control duties across your own area such as, plan checking and site inspections, as well as providing concise and clear advice to our customers on all aspects of Building Control and allied legislation.

With an up to date knowledge of construction legislation and regulations, you will be well organised, an effective communicator and have strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to new technology. With appropriate qualifications such as a HNC/HND in Building or in a construction related discipline, you will also have (or be working towards) membership of a professional body i.e. RICS, CABE or CIOB. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in building control at Surveyor level but would consider other applicants with relevant construction knowledge, and with the determination to learn new skills on the appropriate salary scale.

In recent years we have seen a 10% increase in the number of building regulations applications.

In the past year our Building Control Team has dealt with a total of 1,000 applications, 920 of which were Full Plans or Building Notices, and have carried out over 10,000 inspections.

The District covers 700 square miles and encompasses villages, expanding market towns as well as vibrant coastal area, and enables the opportunity to work on a varied mix of construction projects, from housing to commercial/ leisure developments.
