An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the management team of the Council’s flagship Safer Neighbourhood Services. Working within a genuinely integrated team alongside South Yorkshire Police, this role will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of the service.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to cement our working relationships with the police and other partners. You will be responsible for leading the case management, triage and assessment functions of the service and for ensuring that Barnsley remains at the forefront of innovative practice within the Community Safety arena.
You must be able to demonstrate a significant proven track record of delivering successful Community Safety outcomes in a pressurised and evolving environment.
You must be able to work a varied shift pattern including weekdays to 10 p.m. and weekends to 6 p.m. You must also be willing to undertake and pass Level 2 enhanced police vetting processes in line with local and national requirements.
This post requires a Disclosure Scotland Basic Criminal Record Check and enhanced police vetting.
Prospective employees will be required to give a reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad.
