Royal Greenwich is proud to be a borough synonymous with first class modern services alongside our Maritime history, Greenwich Mean Time and Royal Status. A world heritage site, our communities remain vibrant and diverse and our elected members are ambitious to realise the potential of the borough whilst responding to our financial challenges and a growing population.  Minutes from central London, we continue to attract businesses with a new digital business district at Greenwich Peninsula alongside The O2, and our massive programme of major developments and regeneration.

Growth, progress and innovation are critical but we remain completely focused on ensuring that we meet the needs of our communities by working closely with residents, partners and businesses. Providing high quality housing remains one of our top priorities.  Performance in housing is consistently high but there are still challenges to tackle and opportunities to unlock.

One of London’s largest social landlords, we are seeking an exceptional Director to ensure that the quality of our housing stock meets the very highest standards for our tenants and residents.  You will lead our ‘gold standard’ Housing Needs Service and work closely with key partners including the Police and Prevent to keep the streets and communities of our large and vibrant borough safe.   As well as your strong programme management abilities, we will be impressed by your commercial aptitude and astuteness that will help us explore opportunities to provide other RSL’s with repairs and maintenance services.   As an outstanding leader within the housing service and as a key member of Greenwich’s corporate leadership team you will play an active and influential role, supporting colleagues across the Council and beyond.

To be successful in this post you will bring a demonstrable track record of success and the desire to play a key role in the future of a truly unique and exciting London borough.
