Working primarily at Hammersmith Town Hall you will also be expected to work out of the Council's housing offices, providing advice and support to housing officers, and reviewing fraud referrals from the team. You will also use your initiative to lawfully gather admissible evidence, visit residential and commercial properties, conduct surveillance and gather witness statements, as well as attend County, Crown and Magistrates Courts, and give evidence when required.

To apply you need to be an experienced Fraud Investigator or social Housing Officer (a qualification is desirable) with previous relevant experience ideally in the public sector, and have a full flexible approach to accommodate out of normal hours working. You must also have a good working knowledge of social housing fraud, associated housing legislation, and other public sector legislation such as the Data Protection Act 1998.
