Parks & Green Spaces Apprentice
An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake an apprenticeship in Customer Service within the Customer and Business Support Team for Parks & Green Spaces at Chelmsford City Council.
The successful candidates will support us to deliver a high quality service to the Council, its managers and employees. The programme has been designed to give the apprentice a valuable understanding of an ever-changing, fast paced organisation which can provide a great start for a career in local government. Working within the Customer & Business Support team will give the apprenticeship a real understanding of the services we provide; as well as developing them in areas of customer service that they may not have experience in.
Candidates should have a keen interest in customer service as a career. They should be organised, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines; and enjoy working directly with a wide range of individuals. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. They should also ideally have A-C grades in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and be computer literate and be able to use a wide range of computer packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to study within an already established Customer Service Framework as part of their apprenticeship.
Our apprentices will be required to work 37 hours per week on a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract.
Please be aware that in line with the apprenticeship levy government funding is not available for people with a Level 4 or Graduate qualification in Customer Service / Business Administration. Government funding for apprenticeships substantially different to existing Level 4 or Graduate qualifications will be considered.
