Deputy Chief Executive
Crawley is a place that just keeps getting better. A major economic hub, and home to major organisations including Gatwick Airport, it continues to offer sustained growth, high quality employment opportunities and a great quality of life.
The Council is leading many projects and regeneration schemes across the town, including the redevelopment of the town hall site to provide new housing, a new civic building, a public square and high quality office space.
These two roles offer exceptional scope and opportunity to motivated public service professionals with an eye to the future.
We’re on an ambitious journey to transform our services, putting the customer at the heart of all we do.
It’s a priority for our Chief Executive, and we want to create additional capacity to deliver this and other strategic projects by appointing a new Deputy Chief Executive.
Candidates will have a strong track record of working successfully in partnership with others to achieve success, and extensive experience of managing a range of services in a complex public sector environment.
You should have delivered major projects, and bring exemplary management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Your experience will be at a strategic level and you will demonstrate a strong leadership approach and a collaborative style.
Most importantly, you must share our conviction that all of our communities should benefit from the economic success of the town.
