Head of Implementation

Our newly created Greater Cambridge Planning Service, a shared planning service between Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council, requires outstanding people to support the implementation phase and help us to deliver for our people and communities, one of the best planning services in the Country. We are firmly focused on the future and are seeking a Head of Implementation to help us get there.
This influential senior role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual who is currently working or has worked in a strategic partnership environment to lead and manage the implementation of the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service.
We require an exceptional individual who has the experience of managing complex programme including multiple projects using a recognised project management methodology. Experience in the delivery of technology upgrades and of managing the integration of complex, high profile, politically sensitive and people focused organisations into a single new service, driven by a shared culture will be important.
The ideal candidate will have leadership experience of successfully delivering complex programmes of work in a complex and sometimes challenging environment, with a proven track record of effective relationship management including experience of using influencing and persuading skills at an executive and political level.
