Place Brand Manager (2 year fixed term contract)
Harlow is on a fantastic journey of lasting transformation into a town fit for the 21st century. We are looking for the right person to lead on the marketing and promotion of the town as a place to invest, work, live, study and visit.
Harlow provides a rare opportunity, so close to London and equally in the right place to focus growth due to its locational geographic advantage. The Council is at the forefront of local government locally, regionally and nationally and its achievements for Harlow include: the delivery of the Enterprise Zone, delivering regeneration programmes to improve people’s quality of life and the launch of its own Local Authority Trading Company. In addition, Public Health England is set to locate its new £400m world class Science Hub in Harlow.
At this important time for Harlow’s future, the new Place Brand Manager will need experience of planning and managing marketing and communications and an understanding of the commercial and business environment in Harlow and the ability to plan and deliver high profile events.
You will build relationships with new and existing businesses and organisations to gain their buy into the Harlow story and deliver the Harlow Place Plan for the newly established Place Board whilst delivering a strategic marketing plan to raise the profile of Harlow as a place for business to locate and invest.
With a history of working at a senior level with public and private sector organisations, you will have experience of project management and evidence of the ability to secure the financial resources required to sustain a project.
If you have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and have the skills and drive we are looking for then we want to hear from you.
