Head of Locality (x3)
Our vision is for Manchester to be in the top flight of world-class cities by 2025. The task we've set ourselves is challenging. It will take hard work, collaboration, energy and commitment to achieve our vision. But Manchester is a city that gets things done.
In Children and Education Services, we have already made huge strides towards delivering excellence. In our last Ofsted report (released December 2017), Inspectors saw good evidence of improvement across all services areas, as well as strong leadership and an ambitious and well-articulated vision.
We are now seeking to accelerate our transformation and develop our team by appointing to some key posts within Children’s Social Care.
We are currently seeking three people for Head of Locality roles, covering the North, Central and South areas of the city.
These new roles will work closely with partners including schools and health colleagues to ensure our children and young people receive a timely and effective service that is joined up and prevents their needs unnecessarily escalating.
You will be responsible for driving improvements in across the localities and providing local solutions for local problems. Alongside your area responsibilities you will have the opportunity to take on the city wide responsibilities for SEND and Care Leaving arrangements.
We are looking for qualified Social Workers with statutory experience for all three roles.
It is vital that you have high standards and are able to forge strong and meaningful partnerships, exert influence across the city, and contribute to our aim of building a safe, happy, healthy and successful future for children and young people.
We are a city and a service on the move - to find out how to be a part of Manchester’s success story, please see: www.mcc-leadership.com or contact our advising consultants Gary Evans or Luke Judd (0113 205 6077).
Closing date: 27 April 2018.
