Service Lead Complex Safeguarding
Our vision is for Manchester to be in the top flight of world-class cities by 2025. The task we've set ourselves is challenging. It will take hard work, collaboration, energy and commitment to achieve our vision. But Manchester is a city that gets things done.
In Children and Education Services, we have already made huge strides towards delivering excellence. In our last Ofsted report (released December 2017), Inspectors saw good evidence of improvement across all services areas, as well as strong leadership and an ambitious and well-articulated vision.
We are now seeking to accelerate our transformation and develop our team by appointing a key post within Children’s Social Care.
We are currently seeking a Service Lead for Complex Safeguarding to lead the response to an array of challenging issues including CSE, human trafficking and modern slavery.
Leading a small but specialist team and working across (and influencing) a wide range of key partners including police, education, health and adult services, you will deliver a person-centred approach that safeguards and promotes the welfare of children and young people at risk of being exploited.
We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with statutory frontline experience.
It is vital that you have high standards and are able to forge strong and meaningful partnerships, exert influence across the city, and contribute to our aim of building a safe, happy, healthy and successful future for children and young people.
We are a city and a service on the move - to find out how to be a part of Manchester’s success story, please see: www.mcc-leadership.com or contact our advising consultants Gary Evans or Luke Judd (0113 205 6077).
Closing date: 27 April 2018.
