Our emerging Greater Cambridge Planning Service, a shared planning service between Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council, requires outstanding people to support the implementation phase and to help us to deliver for our people and communities, one of the best planning services in the Country.
We are firmly focused on the future and are seeking two Assistant Directors to shape and manage our new shared service.
As the Assistant Director - Delivery, you will be responsible for the full range of our Development Management services across both councils including the strategic growth sites, Planning Enforcement and Application Support Services.
You will work closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of all planning outcomes and support our strategic growth sites through the planning process.
Reporting to the Joint Director of Planning and Economic Development, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the shared service’s vision, promote our one team culture and deliver a high-quality cost-effective planning services.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced planner who can share our commitment to quality and innovation and can forge strong and meaningful partnerships to exert influence across the Greater Cambridgeshire area and beyond.
