This is an exciting role to be a part of the case management team and manage your own cases. This involves reviewing, investigating, assessing, identifying suitable solutions and drawing conclusions to cases.

The cases will vary from appeals, to complaints to queries from senior level stakeholders such as MP’s, Service managers and Head of service.

This role will also involve providing advice as requested by officers, on individual decisions to ensure that they are in line with the policy, statute and case-law relating to the service area supported and, where case outcomes require it, make suggestions to relevant officers that will help ensure that their future decisions are consistent with policy, statute and case law.

You will be a good decision maker and a diligent worker as each case will differ and therefore each outcome will differ.

Your time management skills will be of superior quality as you will work according to the guidelines set by relevant legislations and Council policy whilst ensuring that cases are progressed with statutory and corporate deadlines.

The end goal is to ensure appropriate solutions are identified and value judgements are made, based on in-depth knowledge of the service and resource costs are balanced against the long and short term outcomes.
