This is an exciting time to join the service, we are looking for highly talented, enthusiastic child, and young adult focused qualified social workers who are person centred and pro-active thinkers with proven experience of working within an integrated setting with disabled children, young adults and their families.
We currently seeking two super talented, highly motivated experienced Social Workers to join our diverse and highly skilled service. We are looking for Social Workers who are keen to progress and share our values of working as one team and finding better and more innovative ways of doing things within CYPDS.
The role involves holding a varied and complex caseload of children, young people and/or young adults with severe to profound disabilities.
Duties will include working within a multi-agency context to meet the holistic needs of the child, young person and or young adult through comprehensive assessment and review processes.
The role requires a confident approach to working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies and an ability to identify and apply complex systems and frameworks whilst remaining person centred.

We are looking for an individual that has a Diploma in social work or equivalent qualification, and be HCPC registered. You will be a pro-active analytical thinker, with experience of working within a multi-agency context as well as a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
You will also need to be a strong team worker, who brings ideas for service delivery and in partnership with parents and young people.
You will be part of developing and supporting a comprehensive service for Disabled Children and Young People and their families arising out of the Council's duties and powers under legislation and regulations, Council and Departmental policies and procedures.
You will work in accordance with guidelines set out by local management and to make appropriate use of statutory, independent and voluntary resources.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
