St Albans is a unique English Cathedral City with a colourful history which can be seen in the Roman remains and variety of beautiful architecture, heritage sites and conservation areas.

Set within green belt, off the M25, A1M and M1, the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre and charming villages.

Our refurbished offices are in the city centre near to the station (London St Pancras 20 minutes), shops and restaurants. In short, it is a great place to live and work.

Our area is already home to both national and international organisations and there is significant growth, both in commercial development, and in the shape of new homes in the pipeline.

We are looking for a talented individual with strong leadership, commercial acumen and business expertise to join our team. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive (Commercial & Development), you will be leading on the management and development of the Council’s property portfolio.

You will look to maximise our commercial opportunities by reviewing our property portfolio, investment strategies and business plans.

Working closely with both the Housing Asset Manager and Commercial Programme Manager, you will identify new major projects for development and contribute to the procurement and development process.

With exceptional skills and expertise, you must have a successful track record of driving through change with the ability to bring people along with you.

Ideally RICS or CIOB qualified, you must have significant experience of regeneration, development and estate management, to maximise our property portfolio and increase profitability.

We offer a competitive package which also includes up to 31 days annual leave, employer pension contributions of up to 18.5%, reimbursement of professional fees, staff parking permit, comprehensive management development and training, flexible working options (including homeworking), leisure and travel discounts and a number of other benefits that are available.

For an informal discussion, please contact Richard Shwe, on 07825 680056.
