Camden’s Early Years Service are currently seeking a highly motivated, reliable and hardworking Reception Administrative Assistant who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills to provide a warm welcome to all families and visitors attending our children’s centres.

As Reception Administrative Assistant you will be a front of house member of the children’s centre services locality team working under the direction of the Office Manager.

You will undertake reception duties for the children’s centre and administrative functions for the children’s centre services multi-agency team.

Our reception is open from 8:45am – 5:00pm. However, the post holder may upon request be required to work flexibly between 8am - 6pm.

About You

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard A-C Grade in English and Maths.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills both orally and written, with a range of people, face to face and via the telephone.

You will thrive on providing a fantastic reception service and adapting to changing demands within a busy working environment.

The role of Reception Administrative Assistant will give you the opportunity to use your organisational and time management skills to deliver first class administrative support to the team.

You will ensure the professional delivery of established processes to ensure the efficient flow of customers through the reception area whilst signposting services and using your initiative to support the needs of the service users.

As first point of contact, you will be liaising with different stakeholders (internal and external) and sharing workloads with others, taking responsibility for areas of work, and maintaining an awareness of team priorities to set deadlines.

Flexibility and a “can do” attitude is required to support the smooth functioning of the children’s centre locality and cluster teams.

You will have strong experience in accurate data inputting and using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

As part of a busy team, you will have a proactive approach to tasks and show dedication to delivering an excellent service to the people of Camden.

Ideally, experience in using EASi and MOSAIC would be highly desirable.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
