This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of the UK’s first Child House team.


The Home Office, NHS England, MOPAC and DfE have funded the Child House and NHS England has commissioned the health and wellbeing services, which will be provided by University College London Hospitals (UCLH), The Tavistock and Portman and NSPCC, supported by Morgan Stanley.


The Child House  remit spans five north London boroughs i.e. Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington, but is located in Camden, who are the lead and employing borough for the social care liaison roles.


The focus of the Social Care Liaison roles is to promote and establish positive relationships between the Child House, the 5 boroughs and Partner agencies to support a more coordinated approach in supporting children and young people who have experienced child sexual abuse, to positively help with the children, young people’s journey to recovery .The role of the social care liaison officer is pivotal, as one of the main functions of the role is to develop and maintain, a positive, working relationships between the 5 boroughs, partner agencies, and the Child House  adhering to the Pan London Child Protection procedures.

Along with being a highly experienced practitioner with management experience, you will have the commitment, drive and ability to ensure delivery of high service standards. You will be able to demonstrate that you work in partnership in a collaborative manner. It is essential; that you are able to work in a multi discipline team as well as working alongside the other social care liaison role. This role offers flexibility due to the services operational hours, and at Camden and within these roles flexible working would be encouraged.


We take pride in getting it right first time and you will have access to an excellent training package and support from a well-established senior management team, to ensure you can lead and support the Child House and the five boroughs.


This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. You must be HCPC registered.
