A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Family Support and Complex Families to take responsibility for managing a team within Families in Focus (FIF) that will deliver high quality, inclusive services, responsive to the needs of users and the wider community.
You will manage the effective operational delivery of universal and targeted services for families with children 0-19 by managing a team of family workers.
This role will require you to provide coaching, supervision and training to ensure interventions meet the needs of the family. You will work with internal and external partners to analyse data to identify need. You will also plan and deliver team meetings, work to implement the Resilient Families Programme across all areas of our work and ensure access to services is inclusive of all needs.
You will ensure delivery of evidence-based assessments and interventions to families on a group and individual basis with a focus on vulnerable priority groups, ensuring the needs of local communities are met and best practice developed.
The postholder will ensure quality and standards in provision delivered by Family Support and Complex Families including maintaining an evaluation framework, tracking and reviewing outcomes for children, families and communities.
You will be required at all times you will carry out responsibilities with due regard to Camden Council’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies as an integral part of the post.
The successful candidate will will have a professional qualification as a youth worker, community worker, social worker or equivalent skills. You will have comprehensive experience of leading and managing teams, preferably in a multi-agency environment.
This will include experience of working with complex families, undertaking assessments, developing SMART plans, supporting families to change behaviour and monitoring progress. You will have excellent communication skills both (verbal and written). You will also be flexible around working hours and be able to provide support during out-of-office hours to deal with complex and high risk problems or issues as they arise. The postholder will be required to work evenings and weekends from time to time.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
