We have a fantastic opportunity for two Development Managers to join the Supporting Communities Directorate. You will lead on the development and construction phases of Community Investment projects working in partnership with ward councillors, tenants, residents and other stakeholders to develop shared solutions that regenerate estates and communities in line with the Camden Plan.

You’ll manage initiatives to maximise the physical and financial benefits accruing to the Council from redevelopment of its property and liaise with the Borough’s Planning and Legal and procurement services on matters of planning and development legislation, as well as national and EU statutory and legislative requirements. You’ll be committed to delivering a new housing supply, providing decent homes to residents, whilst identifying opportunities to deliver on the ‘Sustainable Communities’ agenda.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of development and regeneration, or a relevant degree. You’ll have some experience of town planning practice, development and land acquisition practice and housing development standards, along with the ability to implement innovative solutions to deliver sustainable housing and community safety improvements.

You will ensure that regeneration projects are delivered in partnership with residents and a range of stakeholders, utilising your project management skills to meet key milestones in complex construction projects. Alongside this, your excellent negotiation skills will mean you’re able to procure refurbishment projects and deliver outcomes at various stages.

You will manage various teams such as: consultation staff, external consultants, agencies and developers, ensuring compliance with development agreements and agreed development plans.
