Senior Estates Officer
With a diverse property portfolio comprising a range of building types and uses, Torridge District Council is responsible for the management of a variety of premises across the District - from beach huts to business centres, the locations of the buildings are as varied as the people that use them.
We are currently looking for a Senior Estates Officer to join our Property Team to manage the authorities assets in the most efficient and effective way. Reporting to the Property Manager, the post holder will be required to work on their own initiative in the day-to-day operation of the estate, duties include:
•Developing and maintaining relations with our tenants •Undertaking property inspections •Facilitating correct tenant charges •Management of utilities, tenant arrivals and departures, tenant notices and licences •Compiling information, research, administration and budgeting •Marketing/letting of available properties and associated landlord and tenants activities •Responsible for rent reviews, lease renewals and lettings •Assisting with land development projects, property acquisitions and disposals, preparation of planning applications •Participating with stakeholder engagement activities
•Full member of RICS •Previous experience of commercial property management •Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously If you are the person for us, then we will do our very best to find a working arrangement that helps you balance your work and your life.
