“We found Bassetlaw DC to be a ‘happy council’ with higher than expected staff morale and commitment. We were very impressed with the ‘one team’ ethos which came out time and time again as we spoke to people within the organisation.”

Come and work for a District Council with a difference in Bassetlaw, North Nottinghamshire

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Housing to lead our housing function following the decision to transfer the Council’s ALMO back in house. For this newpost we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced professional with sound management skills to shape the new service and support Members in their aspirations to improve important local services for tenants and residents.

As a key member of the Council’s corporate management team, it is essential that you are a good team player with a one-team ethos. We have a sound set of HRA finances and are on top of the required financial plans for the General Fund. We therefore need an innovative and positive individual, with good people skills, who can make a positive contribution to help take the Council forward to our next phase of the organisation’s development.

If you are a natural team leader with a strategic and service improvement focus in the housing sector, this is a great opportunity for you to further your career in a dynamic environment and shape the service for the future.
