The Sheffield City Region is a strong public-private partnership tasked with driving economic growth across the city region’s economy. After the recent election of our first City Region Mayor, there is no doubt that this is an exciting time to be part of the Sheffield City Region Executive Team and build on investment across the city region that has already created 37,000 jobs in the last four years; with a programme totalling over £1bn to invest in our economy, a growing base of innovative and enterprising high value businesses and an ambitious forward strategy.
The Sheffield City Region LEP, working with the Mayoral Combined Authority, has a complex and ambitious programme of activity arising from a significant Growth Deal and an ambitious Devolution Deal.
The Assistant Director – Transport will play a key and high profile role, working closely with the Mayor, to design and develop the City Region’s transport programme which will deliver upon our new Transport Strategy.
The role will require specialist programme development skills in the transport specialism, combined with significant competence in managing partnership working and teams to ensure the interventions commissioned by SCR deliver impact across the City Region.
