In this attractively broad role, you’ll provide comprehensive leadership to Sandwell’s housing service, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery and driving long-term performance improvement. It’s a significant task in itself: with over 28,000 homes under management, plus a ten-year, £500m investment and development programme underway, we’re already playing in the big league.

But there’s more. Your intellectual curiosity, passion for supporting communities and whole-system perspective will also have led you to acquire extensive additional knowledge and expertise in the social context of placemaking. Commercially sharp, but with an appreciation of the triple bottom line, you’ll embrace the opportunities for locality working emerging from our new Town Plans. And you’ll contribute to embedding a council-wide culture of continuous improvement and customer-focus, so that we’re in the best shape to meet increasing expectations and deliver improved value in a context of continually reducing resources.
