Environmental Health Officer
Chelmsford City Council is seeking a full time Environmental Health Officer to join our Community Protection team. We are looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and skilled officer who is competent and confident in the area of environmental protection.
The role is varied with duties including those relating to:
- Statutory nuisance, noise, licensing, anti-social behaviour and general pollution investigation.
- Public Health and drainage issues.
- Enforcement of animal welfare licensing provisions.
Knowledge of all or some of the above environmental protection and public health disciplines is essential.
You will need excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer care and be an effective team member whilst having the ability to take on a varied case load and work independently.
A full driving licence is required, and you will need to undertake some aspects of the work outside of normal office hours.
