Conference and Events Coordinator
An exciting opportunity for an Events Coordinator - do you have a passion for even sales and management?'The Drum at Wembley' is Brent Council's conference and special events centre at the heart of Wembley only 9 minutes from central London. Located within the UK's Greenest Public Building Brent Civic Centre.
The Drum at Wembley first opened for business in June 2013 and since then has rapidly gone from strength to strength attracting high profile clients and large scale events. The Conference and Events Team now manage approximately 40 event activities across 10 event spaces per week, Monday to Sunday, ranging from small boardroom meetings for internal departments through to external events for 1000 guests over multiple days.

We are looking for a Conference and Events Coordinator to join this busy team and to hit the ground running in the coordination and planning of contracted internal and external events from start to finish. In addition the position will also be required to handle sales enquiries and will be involved in promoting the venue. You will work very closely with the Event Operations Team and may from time to time be expected to work on events.
We are looking for a motivated and organised team player with professional experience of working in a similar sales and coordination role either for an events venue or hotel.
The ideal candidate will have experience in venue/event sales and coordination and will have coordinated and delivered a range of events including weddings, conferences, meetings and large scale experiential events, which will enable them to take on a busy workload of event coordination responsibilities from day one.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is a team player, is also able to work on their own and use their own initiative. The role requires attention to detail, strong time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise their workload in a busy and dynamic environment. The person will need to be flexible with a "can do" attitude, able to work under pressure and be passionate about event sales and excellent customer satisfaction. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
