Rugby Borough Council is looking for an ICT Officer to join its well-established team. The ICT department covers the traditional IT functions such as Desktop provisioning, Servers, Networks and telephony as well as system management functions for Housing, Planning, Environmental Health, GIS and other Council service areas. ICT Officers will be expected to gain, maintain and develop strong baseline knowledge in several of these disciplines, delivering business-as-usual actives, providing mentoring and support to staff, and assisting in the delivery of projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the following areas: Active Directory management, desktop provisioning and solutions support at an enterprise level, service desk support, including remote and telephone support. A knowledge of Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS. Knowledge of Xen Desktop, Citrix and Veeam would be desirable. Communication skills are a vital aspect in this role as you will need to deal with a variety of users on a daily basis.
