As Head of Business Operations, you will help to ensure that our assets, buildings and infrastructure support our strategic objectives.  This is a superb opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic business professional with a good understanding of property and facilities to help shape the future of some of London’s most recognisable venues and buildings.

About the role

Guildhall is a world class venue that plays host to a broad array of events and functions and welcomes people from across the globe. Walbrook Wharf is a busy freight port on the River Thames by Cannon Street station.   We are currently delivering 20 major capital projects that are modernising and improving these assets for the benefit of Londoners, visitors and business. 

Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, partners and our supply chain, you will provide the oversight and leadership to ensure that our projects deliver the returns envisaged.  You will develop and deliver reporting that helps our Members make closely informed decisions as to the future of Guildhall and Walbrook Wharf.  Succeed in this post and infrastructure and buildings that have been vital parts of London life for hundreds of years will continue to help shape our City’s future.

About You

This is a role for an individual confident in holding a position with a high profile, working closely with a wide range of senior stakeholders.  You will have experience of working in an intelligent client capacity, and bring outstanding customer service skills, coupled with the tenacity and diplomacy necessary to work in a large, complex, political organization.  You will thrive when out of your comfort zone, and possess the ability to get to grips with projects and situations where you may lack technical or specialist experience.  Your background and experience will enable you to deliver in a role with a focus on buildings, property and facilities and although this is not a role for a technical project manager, you may have a professional qualification in a related field.
