Excellent Opportunity to join an exciting team

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent's diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

Brent Council won the bid to be the London Borough of Culture for 2020; a new initiative by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to celebrate the wealth of creativity across every corner of London.

The London Borough of Culture title will put Brent on London's centre stage in 2020. This is a fantastic time to join us and celebrate this once in a lifetime opportunity Brent has secured.

The Council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

We are looking for two Executive Assistants to work alongside our Operational Directors. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a well organised, highly motivated and flexible individual looking for their next career move.

You will primarily be supporting the Operational Director of Customer Services or the Operational Director of Property and Assets and their leadership teams with diary management, managing mail/electronic mail invitations, arranging appointments/meetings and taking responsibility for venue, background papers and actions.

The role requires an emphasis on dedication, accuracy and a high level of customer focus for personal and telephone callers, with a degree of initiative to delegate and escalate items to other senior staff.

The Person

Do you have an outstanding track record of providing high quality executive support to senior managers in a busy office environment?

Are you resilient, forward thinking and able to take on a challenging workload whilst demonstrating a flexible approach and ability to respond quickly to changing workloads and priorities?

Are you dedicated and able to use your initiative to handle enquiries to ensure that your director's time is managed effectively and they are free to respond to complex issues?

If you possess all the above and are highly organised, an excellent communicator and have excellent skills in MS Outlook and arranging meetings then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Experience working in Customer Services or Property Services would be an advantage but not essential.

Closing Date: Monday 12 November 2018 (23:00)

Assessment & Interview Date: w/c 19 November 2018
