The Post

Our brand new Performance, Insight and Improvement service acts as a specialist resource across our Community Wellbeing Department; which encompasses Housing, Adult Social Care, Culture & Leisure and Public Health. The service will be central to helping the department develop a better understanding of the challenges facing our services, to robustly monitor and improve quality, and to gain more sophisticated insight into the needs and experiences of our customers - and then ensure we utilise all of this knowledge to design and deliver lasting improvements across our services.

This unique opportunity will enable you engage with government departments & ministries, the NHS and the private sector. As part of a focused team, you will support the delivery of a range of customer research and insight projects within Community Wellbeing. You'll create, collate and compile complex and varied sources of data and research in order to inform key business decisions from a customer perspective.

2 Roles are available;
• Senior Analyst - Customer
• Senior Analyst - Data

The Person

The ideal candidate will have sound working knowledge of a wide variety of research tools, and the ability to analyse and interpret complex qualitative and quantitative customer data; drawing conclusions and presenting findings in a compelling way to suit a variety of different audiences. Experience gained within a market research agency, insight consultancy would be ideal and work experience gained in the Public Sector would be beneficial.

Key Focus Areas
Senior Analyst - Customer
• Strong skills in using Qualitative research methodologies e.g. Ethnography
• Ability to create discussion guides, moderate and analyse Focus groups

Senior Analyst - Data
• Ability to develop and support forecasting and customer modelling techniques
• Ability to conduct complex numerical analysis e.g. correlation

Core Skills required
• Work with client stakeholders to define project requirements and communicate results.
• Manage the whole research project cycle from initial brief to delivery.
• Analyse ad-hoc research and longitudinal studies when required
• Synthesize data from multiple sources.
• Deliver relevant frameworks that will support the Community Wellbeing department e.g. segmentation models, customer journeys etc.

The right candidate will be self-motivated, with a “can-do” attitude and a readiness to suggest practical and innovative approaches to undertaking research and insight activities, and creative ways of presenting and sharing findings.
