The Finance service is critical to the delivery of the Council’s objectives, the role will be supporting a number of exciting and new projects to ensure the robust financial governance and delivery of outcomes for the benefit of the Borough.    

The role will be reporting to the Finance Director (S151 Officer) and you will play a vital role in leading a Financial Services team which includes the strategic and transactional responsibilities of the Council’s finances.  

You will be CCAB qualified and will ideally have proven experience of working in a senior finance role. Experience of working in an environment of sound governance, financial controls and financial planning will be welcome. The role will be working with senior officers to provide financial advice that will aid decision making and inform the successful delivery of projects.  You will be able to demonstrate a passion for your work and developing the finance team along with a commitment to customer care. The ability to help develop internal financial management skills is essential.
