LPFT makes a profound difference to people with mental health and learning disabilities, promoting recovery and an improved quality of life for our service users. The Trust, rated as ‘good’ by the CQC, was one of the top Trusts in the 2017 Staff Survey and so the new CEO has a great opportunity to lead and bring the organisation to the next level.
Our new CEO will support our staff to continue this crucial work, leading in a strategic, inclusive and developmental manner. To deliver our vision, we are seeking a leader who is inspirational, committed to our purpose and values, and who understands the importance of collaborative system-based leadership in today’s complex health and social care sector.
This wonderful leadership opportunity may suit someone already operating at CEO or Accountable Officer level or could be the chance for a leader to break through to a CEO post for the first time. The post will require someone used to dealing with complexity, scale and challenge at a senior level but not necessarily within the NHS. Applications from aligned sectors such as local government, social care, charities and third-sector would be welcome. Above all we wish to assess leadership skills and values as much as professional experience.
Our new CEO should be able to demonstrate a commitment to making a positive difference to our patients and service users. This means putting people first and developing staff, respecting difference, partnership working, acting with compassion and integrity at all times, even when the pressure is on, and being proud of what the NHS delivers and stands for. In return you will have the opportunity to lead our organisation and workforce into a bright future and make a real difference to the thousands of people who rely upon our services.
We want to employ a diverse workforce and leadership team and we actively encourage applications from under-represented groups and would particularly welcome applications from, women, BAME people, LGBT people and people with disabilities and those who have had personal experience of mental health conditions.
The closing date for applications is 9:00am on Tuesday 15th January 2019.
