Job Details
If you have experience working within a waste collection environment and would like to make a positive contribution to the collection of both waste and recycling in the City, this could be the job for you.
We are looking for a supervisor to join our operations team based at Freighter House, Boreham. Working within a small team of supervisors you will be accountable for the day to day organisation and control of resources to ensure that staff and vehicles are efficiently and effectively deployed to deliver both the statutory and operational duties of the service.
You will plan and organise the work of the collection teams, including staff appraisals, identification of training and development needs, sickness management, ensuring adherence to safe working practices, and evaluating the effectiveness of work undertaken and devising appropriate work and improvement plans.
Candidates will have a proven commitment to providing quality customer care.
Candidates must hold an LGV Category C licence [formerly HGV Class 2 or 3]
The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week over a 4 day rota [within Monday – Friday] Occasional weekend working is also required.
