Job Details
Salary range: £47,541 - £50,442 p.a. inc.
Contract: Fixed Term (until 28/08/19)
Hours of work: 36 hours per week (however part time and job share will be considered)
Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post
We are keen to recruit a highly motivated individual to take a lead role in the successful delivery of significant elements of the Council's Capital Portfolio.
The applicant will be required to manage the effective delivery of multiple projects to the required standard, in order to meet critical timescales and completion within approved budgets. The post requires leadership across the Council and beyond as you work with colleagues and partners. The successful applicant would also manage a range of technical consultants and contractors.
The post holder will be expected to understand the strategic importance of their projects and to work closely with the Programme Manager to support effective working relationships with portfolio holders and key stakeholders.

The Person
The ideal candidate will be experienced in construction and capital project management. This should be supported by a relevant professional qualification.
You will bring energy, enthusiasm and the ability to navigate through complex issues to achieve great outcomes for the Council. You should be a good team player and able to develop and foster excellent relationships with our partners and stakeholders.
Knowledge of construction contracts and project management techniques as well as understanding of commercial sensitivities and financial management are essential.
