Excellent Opportunity to join an exciting team!

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to work alongside the Chief Finance Officer. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a well organised, highly motivated and flexible individual looking to work as part of a recently expanded Finance team.

You will primarily be supporting the Chief Finance Officer as well as a team of seven Heads of Finance and their individual portfolios. Although this will include some diary management and arranging appointments and meetings the role requires a high degree of initiative and independence. You will play a central role within the Finance team coordinating and organising as well as being the source of communication. A financial background is not required but being able to grasp financial concepts rapidly will be a definite advantage, as will experience of working in a large and complex organisation.

The Person

Do you have an outstanding track record of providing high quality executive support to senior managers in a busy office environment?

Are you resilient, forward thinking and able to take on a challenging workload whilst demonstrating a flexible approach and ability to respond quickly to changing workloads and priorities?

Are you dedicated and able to use your initiative to handle enquiries to ensure that your director’s time is managed effectively and they are free to respond to complex issues?

If you possess all the above and are highly organised, an excellent communicator and have excellent skills in the MS suite of programmes then we would be delighted to hear from you.

Closing Date: 03 February 2019 (23:00)
