Salary range: £25,746 - £27,342 p.a. inc.

Contract: 12 Month Fixed term

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post 

An exciting opportunity within Brent Customer Services (Benefits & Customer Services section) has arisen following our recent restructure. The successful post holder will be a part of a dynamic team that ensure the councils invoices and income from all revenue streams are allocated efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate is one who can work effectively as part of a wider team and one that takes pride in not only their work but their team’s also. 

The successful candidate will effectively manage the day-to-day duties but also be someone who is actively securing continuous service improvement and working with relevant managers and cross departmental teams to achieve this 

The Person 

You will need to have excellent knowledge of all aspects of accounts receivable roles and responsibilities and broad knowledge of other related areas: accounts payable and reconciliation. Good understanding of financial regulations and significant experience of providing a customer-focused service in a demanding and diverse environment. You need to have energy, be well organised, resilient and passionate in your approach and able to work flexibly. 

Successful candidates need to be outcome focussed with the ability to work across boundaries. Candidates need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively use a wide range of IT systems including oracle Financial and or pay360 income management applications. 

In addition successful candidates will have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and take responsibility for your own workload and decisions, working on your own initiative and consistently meeting deadlines. 

This is a rewarding and challenging role and not one for the faint hearted.
