Rugby Borough Council is looking for an ICT Officer to join its well-established team.  The ICT department covers the traditional IT functions such as Desktop provisioning, Servers, Networks and telephony as well as system management functions for Housing, Planning, Environmental Health, GIS and other Council service areas.  

The ICT Officer role will provide vital support for the administration of the local and wide area network, associated peripherals and communication links in conjunction with corporate policies and objectives; operate independently in the performance of specified tasks; to contribute to the development and implementation of network systems related policies, procedures and provide technical assistance to the Service Desk.  

The ideal candidate will have a background in the following areas: Active Directory management, desktop provisioning and solutions support at an enterprise level, service desk support, including remote and telephone support. A knowledge of Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS. Knowledge of Citrix XenApp\Desktop and Veeam would be desirable. Communication skills are a vital aspect in this role as you will need to deal with a variety of users daily.
