Salary
Up to £95,518
Closing date

Liverpool City Council is one of the most exciting and progressive authorities in the UK. Against the backdrop of austerity, through innovation, entrepreneurialism and compassion, Liverpool City Council has both protected and empowered its most vulnerable citizens while at the same time helping drive the city forward in its ongoing renaissance.

We know our staff are our greatest asset so we have created a new role which requires an extraordinary leader who is able to motivate and inspire through their innovation and help us get the very best out of our people.

We are bringing together all of our people focused services including Learning, HR, Payroll, Health and Safety and Occupational Health into a new People and Talent division. The Director will lead the development and implementation of the council’s People Strategy capable of delivering our Mayoral Inclusive Growth Plan priorities. This is a central element of the city council’s Transformation Plan and the post holder will need to lead our ability to respond creatively to current people and talent challenges, positioning the City Council as an employer of choice.

We are looking for applications from exceptional and dynamic talent who have significant experience of leading people related functions in a major organisation.

We expect Candidates to have a relevant professional qualification (i.e. Chartered Member of CIPD) and have the ability to engage with and influence a wide range of audiences along with working knowledge of current and emerging employment and workplace issues.

If you have the ambition, passion, drive and vision to shape the People and Talent agenda for this great city, we look forward to hearing from you. Please apply using the link.
