Can you make the District Energy Network at the award winning South Kilburn estate a reality?

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

A challenging and varied role managing this project to make it a reality.  You will need all of your project management skills to realise this project.  You will need to work with internal and external parties, working with financial models and business cases, legal teams along with engineers and architects.  The role will work with the Council's Senior Energy & Sustainability Manager to procure a partner to develop the District Energy Network at South Kilburn.  The role will also work alongside the South Kilburn Regeneration team to ensure that their design team's requirements can be met.

The Person

The right person for this job will not be deterred by the difficulty of some of the tasks but rather be pro-active and innovative in finding a way forward.  Whilst there is no requirement for the Project Manager to be technical, there are highly technical aspects to this project, which the right candidate should not be afraid of.

The Project Manager should have a Degree or equivalent qualification in science, maths, economics, project management or other related discipline or be able to demonstrate an equivalent education through experience of a similar role.
