The Role
Cambridgeshire County Council’s Place and Economy Directorate delivers services across areas such as transport, new infrastructure, roads, and the environment. It aims to manage and deliver the growth and development of sustainable communities, meet the challenges of climate change and enhance the natural environment. This role is based within the Highways service which manages, maintains and improves the county’s transport network and is responsible for the county's transport assets.
The Highways service operates from a number of bases across Cambridgeshire, with a central base in Huntingdon. We are flexible about work location, but the ability to travel to different locations is essential.
We have a vacancy for a Structures Engineer working within our Bridge’s team. The Structures Engineer role is based within the Highways Service, working across both Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to be part of a professional and motivated team.
You will have experience in the development, planning, design and implementation of transport infrastructure and related projects with extensive knowledge of technical and contractual requirements relating to scheme development, implementation and construction.
