Job Details

It's exciting times at Riverside Ice & Leisure Centre with a brand new centre set to open in Spring 2019. We need you to get on board and help us make this a success by ensuring we continue to grow our existing membership levels.

You'll need to be a great communicator, motivated by results, with a proven track record of sales success, preferably in the leisure industry or similar role.  You'll be joining the team during an exciting but challenging time and will play a big part in the future success of the new Riverside Leisure Centre.

Assisting the Leisure Centre Sales and Membership Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your own lead generation ideas and help lead the team to sales target each month.  You must have a can-do attitude and fantastic people skills and be comfortable speaking to all types of personalities both face to face and on the telephone.

You will be a key person in our members' journey; whether they're just starting out with us or a long-standing member and your duties will include lead generation, through activity both inside and outside of the centre, telesales, promoting and selling memberships to perspective members, corporate sales and maintaining marketing brand standards.

This role is full time, working 37 hours per week. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business as you will be required to work evenings and weekends.

Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment, and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services. The Council's Safer Recruitment process contains pre-employment vetting which includes safeguarding training, obtaining references and ensuring compliance with the Disclosure and Barring Service process.
