The Role

In Royal Greenwich, we are excitedly expanding our Disabled Children Family Support Service to continue to meet the needs of disabled children and young people and their families.  Following a review of our service, we are expanding to increase capacity within the Disabled Children Social Work Teams, Occupational Therapy Service and the creation of a Short Break Service. In these expanded services, we have created roles to enable us to support aspirations, be person centred and focus on outcomes.

We are looking for a range of enthusiastic, vibrant and creative individuals with the skills and experience to help us in our ambitions.

Disabled Children Social Care Team Leader – PO7

Social Worker – Social Work Pay Grade

Short Break Coordinator- PO2

For these roles – we are looking for people with the right knowledge and experience, who can work under pressure, build and maintain good relationships with parents, children and young people to ensure that they can co-produce their assessments and interventions. The team are deliver varied statutory social care services ranging from Disabled Child Support Plans supporting children living at home, Child in Need interventions, Child Protection interventions as well as supporting children who are Looked After by the local authority. There are specific professional qualifications needed for some of the posts so please review the Job Descriptions and Person specifications carefully. Specifically, all applicants for the OT Advanced Practitioner must be a Qualified Occupational Therapist.
