Your new role
The Commissioning Team has a collective responsibility to oversee strategic and large-scale commissioning and service contracts across both our Councils as well as leading market management and strategic relationships with our provider market
As a Learning Disability Senior Commissioning Manager, you will work in partnership with local stakeholders, you will have a lead responsibility for the commissioning of social care services for adults with a learning disability and/or autism. This will include the planning and development of services, procurement of new services, maintenance of provider and stakeholder relationships, and service reviews.
You will be involved with exciting projects like modernisation and service transformation in Richmond and Wandsworth Community provision. You will have a confidence to manage a small team and a budget in the region of £40 million.
What you'll need to succeed
In depth knowledge of services supporting people with learning disability and/or autism and the governments agenda in relation to these areas
Diverse experience in commissioning services within Local Authority
Political skills to manage voluntary organisation
Ability to project manage and deliver a vision but equally be able to identify needs for improvement
Ability to lead, support and inspire the team
